Return & Refund Policy
At The Destination Wedding Details Shop we have a straightforward customer service policy. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order! We are real people, who had destination weddings ourselves and we want yours to be amazing! If you are unsatisfied in any way, please contact us immediately and we will be happy to help!
In the rare event of an error on our end, we’ll fix it ASAP, no questions asked.
If you’re unhappy for any other reason, we’ll make our best effort to work with you on a solution.
While we are committed to customer satisfaction, we do have some specific cancellation and return policies due to the personalized nature of our products. Those instances can be found below.
Canceling Your Order After Receiving Design Proofs
For orders that require design proofs, there is a cancellation fee of $25, if you cancel your order after your proofs have been emailed. This fee covers the time we spend designing your custom proofs. Once completed, that part of the order cost cannot be refunded.
If you are unhappy with your design proofs for some reason (we don’t think you will be), just let us know! We are committed to providing a fantastic design and if there’s something you’re just not liking, we will be happy to work with you until you’re satisfied.
Canceling Your Order After You Approve Proofs but Prior to Printing
Should you need to cancel or make a change after you approve the proofs, please contact us asap. If your order has not gone into production, we may be able to cancel it and process your refund minus the design costs, as detailed in the previous section.
If your order is in the process of printing, we may be able to stop it midway and recover some of the costs for a refund. If your order has completed the printing stage, we will not be able to cancel, refund, or accept a return on the order.
Returning Custom Product After it has Shipped
Custom printed products are not returnable. This is because personalized/custom printed items are created on a per order basis and cannot be resold. Custom printed products include any item that has personal information including but not limited to names, wedding date, wedding destination, personalized wording. Below is our policy for specific situations:
Customer Approved Errors
We cannot accept returns or process refunds due to errors on customer approved proofs (e.g. typos), regardless of where the error originated. While we do our best to call attention to any errors we may see during the proofing process, final proofing is ultimately the responsibility of the buyer. Once you approve your proof, your final product will print exactly as shown in the final proofs.
Printed Color vs Screen Color
We are unable to accept returns because your printed product does not match the colors you see on your screen. Please understand that all monitors and screens display colors differently and may not accurately represent how your order will print.
Printed Product Does Not Match the Approved Proof
In the unlikely situation that the design theme or wording on your printed product does not match your approved proof, please contact us immediately with photos of your printed product and we will reprint and ship the affected pieces free of charge.
Damaged or Missing Shipments
This is a rare situation but if you receive an order with damaged or missing products, please contact the Destination Wedding Details Shop customer service department within 7 days of receiving the order. You can email us at email@example.com with your order number.
Destination Wedding Details is not responsible for missing packages or damaged products resulting from errors made by the shipping carrier but we can help you file a claim with them. Please make sure you keep all products in their original packaging during this process.
